Insert a radio button or checkbox Excel OSX
I thought I would write a quick post about adding a checkbox or radio button in Mac OSX Excel. I have just spent 25 minutes searching no-end of dodgy “help” sites to find out how to add one of these buttons, it seems that its pretty simple to do in the Windows version but a little trickier in OSX…
So the “..click on form insert..” waffle is useless for us and it seems as if we can’t even get to a menu that will allow you to add a button… That would be right! Here is what you’ll need do:
1) Click ‘Excel’ in the top left of your menu bar (right between the Apple symbol and the File menu)
2) Click Preferences,
3) In sharing and privacy click ‘Ribbon’
4) In the list of menu’s scroll right to the bottom and check the ‘Developer’ menu button
5) Click ok and return to your worksheet
You’ll now notice that after the ‘Review’ tab you now have a ‘Developer’ tab! Voila you can now insert as many radio buttons, list boxes and check boxes as you want!
Simple, I know, but infuriating at the same time!
Good luck!
